MRT Private Stringing Lesson Program

The United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA) launched the MRT Private Stringing Lesson program in December 2000.

We designed this program to take advantage of our growing numbers of MRT certified members. Instead of conducting group workshops around the country, we utilize our staff of MRTs who agree to offer private stringing lessons. These MRT instructors set their own rates and essentially operate just like private tennis instructors except they teach stringing. The advantages of this system are numerous:

  • Instructors will adjust their lesson to the level of the student.
  • Students will only have to attend as long as they want, and they may learn as much in 2 or 3 hours as would be possible in an all day group workshop setting.
  • Instructors will be many and close by.
  • Lessons will be geared to the desires of the student, whether that be to learn stringing or to bone up for a certification test.
